Follow these tips to build your blogging connections.

1. Study Blogging Inside-Out

2. Make Connections

Do not make the common newbie blogger – and struggling blogger – mistake concerning the concept of becoming a connected blogger. A shocking majority of failing bloggers ask influential bloggers for introductions to other influencers, begging to get connected.

You do not get connected. This is not a passive or plea-based activity.

You establish connections by generously serving top bloggers in your niche for months then years in as many ways as possible.

Successful pro bloggers become influential bloggers by promoting top bloggers on social, by commenting effectively on top blogger’s blogs or by featuring top bloggers on their blogs.

Build connections by actively helping blogging big dawgs persistently without looking for anything in return.

Even if you know a ton of bloggers you will have a difficult time getting connected with top bloggers until you practice writing 500 to 1000 words daily in a Word document to find your writing voice and to clearly and confidently get your point across through your blog posts.

Shine on a public stage.

Get connected by giving fellow bloggers a reason to want to connect with you.

4. Comment Genuinely on Top Blogs from Your Niche

Comment on top blogs from your niche.

Become connected through this low barrier to entry technique for building bonds.

Genuine blog commenting exposes you, your blog and your brand to targeted readers. Commenting on top blogs also helps you befriend influential bloggers in your niche.

Write 3-5 paragraph comments to make an impact. Be authentic. Flesh out some point discussed in the post to show that you read the blog post. Address the blogger by name. Craft a thorough comment. Thank the blogger for sharing their thoughts. Sign off with your name.

6. Gobble Up Aligned Opportunities Quickly

Feast on opportunities aligned with your blogging niche swiftly.

Become an opportunity Pacman or Pac Woman.

Eating up guest post opportunities, interview requests and features connects you with influential bloggers in your niche, laying the framework for more features and connections to develop.

Create the illusion of being everywhere in your niche. Seize promising opportunities quickly to establish your presence in your niche of choice.
